Volunteer SignUps

    Hi Sting Ray Parents,

It's been great to see all our swimmers in the pool over the past 2 weeks. Now it's time to start planning for our meets. We will be using the same communication platform, Swimtopia, as last year and below is a link where you can sign up for parent jobs.

Many of you registered last year, but if you need to register for an account all you have to do is click the 'Login' link at the top right of the homepage. Then, type in your email address and select 'forgot my password'. You will be sent an email that will allow you to create a password. At that point, you will be able to sign up for jobs.

Please take a minute to review your account information, especially that we have your correct email.

Just a few things to consider:

    1. It takes about 40 parents to adequately cover all volunteer slots for a home meet, and 30 parents to cover an away meet. Since we have about 30 families registered for swim team, that means it is essential that we have every family participating. There may even be instances where both parents are needed, but I will try my best to keep that to a minimum.

    2. There are many different roles that need to be filled – some require special training at the beginning of the season; many do not. If we don’t hear from you about your preference, we will be happy to assign you to work where you’re needed most.

    3. If I have reached out to you individually about specific jobs (mainly for positions that require training), then you do not need to signup through Swimtopia.

    4. Please be sure to fill out the swim team binder for any meets you know you will missing as soon as possible.

We are small, but mighty... and can accomplish anything by working together. I am always impressed how well everyone comes together to work as a team. This is going to be a great swim season.

Feel free to contact me at kelly.spann@ymail.com or 804-349-3941 with any questions or concerns. I'm up at the pool most days for some portion of swim practice.

    Let's go Stingrays!
