Hi all,

The long-awaited first meet is quickly approaching! We will (virtually) swim Coventry Monday night, July 6th! This will count as a friendship meet since Coventry swims a division up from us. Nonetheless, this is a great opportunity for our swimmers to start the season off strong with some fast times! The meet will be held at Indigo Park, as will the rest of our meets given the social distancing restrictions. Swimmers and families need to be at the pool by 5:15 pm before warmups at 5:30. The meet will begin at 6 pm. If owned, swimmers should wear their team suits and team caps. Although we won't be facing Coventry head-to-head, let's still show our Stingray Pride! 

As Kelly Spann elaborated upon in her email yesterday, we are trying to limit the number of people on deck as much as possible to promote distancing. You are more than welcome go on deck to cheer on your swimmer(s) and their friends, but please return to the parking lot frequently to allow others to do the same. 

This will be the protocol for the rest of the virtual meets this season, which are as follows: 

- July 13th vs. Windsor Great Park 

- July 20th vs. Villages of Westminster 

- July 27th vs. Powhatan Secondary

- August 1st, Summer Awards (Tentative, optional meet) 

- August 9th VPSU Championships (Tentative, requires qualifying times) 

This is without question the most unique first meet we've had as a team, but with everyones' cooperation and spirit it will be a very memorable night!
