Dear IP Stingrays Swim Team Parents,

As the IP Stingrays Swim Team gears up for another exciting season, we're
looking for passionate and dedicated parents to join our Board!

The Board plays a crucial role in ensuring the success and smooth operation of
our beloved team. They serve as a vital liaison between the swim team and the
Indigo Park HOA, representing the needs and interests of our swimmers and
families.



But that's not all! The Board also takes the lead in several key areas:

• Planning the upcoming season: this includes everything
  from scheduling meets and practices to organizing social events and
  fundraisers.


• Sending a representative to VPSU meetings: the Board
  ensures our team has a voice at the VPSU meetings, staying informed about
  important regulations and advocating for our swimmers.


• Finding swim coaches for the summer: securing qualified
  and enthusiastic coaches is crucial for the team's growth and development.

We understand that many of our current planning team has older swimmers who may
not be on the team much longer. This presents an excellent opportunity for
succession planning. By bringing in fresh perspectives and energy, we can
ensure the IP Stingrays remain a vibrant and healthy team for years to come.



Are you passionate about swimming and committed to our team's success? Do you
have skills in organization, communication, or leadership? If so, we encourage
you to step forward and join the Board!



Here's what you can expect:

• Seasonal Board meetings, typically only held once a
  month in the months leading up to swim season - usually during the summer
  we see each other at meets and follow up on email.


• The opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of
  parents and coaches.


• The chance to make a real difference in the lives of
  our swimmers.


• Flexible time commitment – we understand everyone has
  busy schedules, and we will work with your availability.

We're will hold an informational meeting on Sunday 5:00-6:00 via ZOOM (link to come) to provide more details about the
Board and answer any questions you may have but until that date is set please
