There is a lot in this email, so thank you in advance.

We are nearing the end of the 2024 summer swim season. With that comes the VPSU Summer Awards swim meet and the VPSU Championship swim meet.

A little information about each meet:

• Both meets are on Saturdays (Summer Awards on 7/27 & Champs on 8/3)
• Summer Awards is for swimmers who HAVE NOT yet qualified for Champs. Any swimmer can swim in an event that they have NOT made the qualifying time for.
• Champs is for any swimmer who HAS qualified (PDF with each age groups' qualifying times is attached) AND has attended at least three regular season dual swim meets.

I have attached a PDF with more information about this year's Summer Awards meet which is being held at Queens Lake. Please contact Coach Gina by Friday, July 19th if your swimmer(s) is interested in competing in the summer awards meet.

With regards to Champs, you can look at your swimmers' best times on Swimtopia and look at the attached Champs qualifying times PDF to see if your swimmer has qualified. The Champs meet will be held at the 757 Pool (Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex). The deadline for Champs entries will be coming soon, so let Coach Gina know ASAP if your swimmer has qualified and would like to compete.  If you have any questions, Coach Gina will be able to help.

Finally, please mark your calendars for our end-of-season Paper Plate Awards and Puprays meet!  Thursday, July 25th from 6-8pm at Indigo Park Pool.  Details on what dinner will look like will be coming soon.  We will plan to structure a mini meet during this time to have our Puprays who have not participated in a meet this season to complete a 25 (either assisted in various ways or not assisted if able) during this time to celebrate their progress as emerging swimmers this summer!

Finally, we are in the homestretch of our team fundraiser!  There are only 15 MEGA Auto Spa cards left to be sold before our team earns a pizza party (which hopefully we can have at the paper plate awards!).  Details on the fundraiser are attached as well.
